St Lawrence’s Centre is used regularly for a wide range of concerts, exhibitions, art classes, plant and craft sales, as well as services and Quiet Days once a month. It is open daily, except when events are taking place and visitors are welcome to use its refreshment facilities.
After restoration from 100 years of neglect, the Centre is now modern and spacious and has all year round under-floor heating, toilets, simple catering facilities and is occasionally available for hire. It was rededicated as a Church in 2001.
The Centre is a patron of all the arts and encourages and supports local artists and craft workers. It provides education through Diocesan training events, information exhibitions and the local Sunday School.

The medieval herbs and Biblical plants in the beautiful Sacristan’s Garden in the ruins of the original church would have been grown at the time St Lawrence’s was built. The Centre offers Quiet Garden days on the 1st Friday of every month.
